The work of the armies of God’s Kingdom is to maintain and expand the rule of God practically by the Kingdom-word, who is Christ Jesus – 2 Cor. 10:3-6; Col. 3:16; Jn. 1:1,
The specific territories in which to maintain and enhance God’s rule or Kingdom are (in strategic order):
- Person of humans – 2 Cor. 10:3-6; Lk. 17:21.
- Societies of humans i.e. people-groups – Matt. 23:37; 24:14; 28:18-20.
- Systems of humans i.e. the religious order – Mk. 16:17; 1Cor. 2:6b; 1 Jn. 2:17; Obad. 21.
- All creatures including the earth – Mk. 16:15; Rom. 8:19-21; Heb. 12:27-28.
Beloved Soldier of Jesus Christ, this enormous Kingdom-assignment is only possible with the weapon of the Kingdom-word and God the King of the Kingdom. Using the Kingdom-word is the King’s way of promoting and propagating His Kingdom on earth.
Yes, dear royal Soldier, that is how to please the King of our Kingdom. In fact, without the Kingdom-word, you will give up this God-sized assignment in frustration, for want of the right weaponry, which is only mighty hrough God, the King or Lord of His Host.
The Captain of God’s armies
You know, our description of God as a King implies that of a Leader of armies. For example, in the Old Testament, the ‘first’ function of a king was to lead the nation’s armies in war, in order to increase or maintain territory.
Indeed, the most frequently used title for God in the Old Testament is the ‘Lord of Host’. This title means that God is a Commander or Captain of his hosts or armies i.e. both the visible and invisible armies.
Even today, one of the main functions of kings or presidents is that, they are the only people to declare war on behalf of a country. That is why they are always the Commander in-chief of a nation’s armed forces.
Beloved, it is only when we are ready to extend the territory of God’s Kingdom on earth that the Commander or Captain of the host i.e. God in Christ, will show up.
Yes, He wants to lead us, as the King of kings, to practically get God’s Kingdom or rule into people and places in the Kingdom-way that pleases Him, not in the religious fashion– Josh. 5:13-15. This is the assignment of the trained royal soldier that you will be.
The battle
Dear soldier of Christ, the Kingdom or nation of God is in a battle against the Kingdom of Satan. You know, the Church is to administer and manifest the Kingdom or rule of God in the physical realm, bringing a taste of Heaven on earth now – Matt. 6:10; 16:15- 19; Eph. 3:10,
“To the intent that now, (not later) unto the principalities and powers in the heavenly places might be made known by the Church the manifold wisdom of God”. Emphasis mine.
Yes, note that we are to confront principalities and powers now with the Wisdom of God which is the Kingdom-word or Jesus – 1 Cor. 1:30.
So, our worth as soldiers in the army of God’s Kingdom is determined by our ability to manifest Jesus’ victory over Satan’s Kingdom (of darkness or ignorance) now by God’s strategic wisdom or Kingdom-word in your peculiar world – 2 Cor. 2:14.
Battling for unbelievers and nations
Beloved, the battle we are engaged in is not fought with bombs and guns, physical swords or by the use of physical violence or terror. Neither do we take spiritual control of people’s spirits, (as in running their lives or deciding for them without their consent), for this is witchcraft.
Rather, we deal with evil spirits who influence the spirits of humans against God for the spirit of these humans to be free to decide for or against God by their independent selves.
We do this by taking mental territories of unbelievers with the Kingdom-words of Jesus i.e. the Wisdom of God, by which we pray, preach and teach – 2 Tim. 2:24-26.
This way, by the invisible armies and the help of the Holy Spirit, people’s spirit and minds would willingly yield to Jesus’ Lordship – Heb. 1:11; Jn. 16:8-9.
Battling for believers
Having done so, we go ahead with our work of destroying Satan’s strongholds in the minds of believers whose spirits are already surrendered to Jesus’ Kingship, also with the Kingdom-words of Jesus or God’s Wisdom – 2 Cor. 10:3-5; 2 Tim. 2:2-3,
“And the things that you have heard from me (i.e. the Kingdom-word of Jesus’ grace) among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” Emphasis mine.
Beloved, working with the Kingdom-word of Jesus’ grace among faithful believers involves enduring hardships as a good soldier of Jesus.
This is the process of training believers to be Kingdom-soldiers, equipped to do
the work of maintaining and expanding the Kingdom of God on earth, with the Kingdom-word that Apostle Paul spoke.
In all cases, we expel darkness or ignorance of Kingdom-words from both believers and unbelievers.
The Kingdom-word
Beloved, Kingdom-words are the Word of God that is viewed through Jesus’ Person, Principles and Performance on earth for mankind.
All other Words are religious in nature, if they do not promote the results of Jesus’ finished work for us whiles He was on earth, in Hades and in His Heavenly Kingdom now.
Kingdom-words are thus the Wisdom of God in Eph. 3:10, who is Jesus Himself – 1 Cor. 1:30. They are the Word of the King of kings that brings about a taste of His Kingdom on earth now, as in Heaven.
They are what should dwell in you richly in all wisdom because they are for your practical life and victory on earth – Col. 3:16. Kingdom-words are what God in His militancy spoke in the beginning against the Kingdom of darkness namely:
“Let there be light” – Gen. 1:3.
Beloved, our dearest Lord Jesus is the Kingdom-word because He came to mankind from the Kingdom above as the Word of God, to model and to teach us the Kingdom-life or the system of Heaven for earth – Jn. 1:1.
And, He was the first person to use the phrase “word of the Kingdom” (Matt. 13:19) or “gospel of the Kingdom” (Matt. 24:14), otherwise called the Kingdom-word. Hallelujah!
Beloved, the Kingdom-word is the first weapon of the King’s royal soldier against the Kingdom of darkness. And so you should be strong in it, because all the other armour of God works through it – Eph. 6:10-18.
