Let us consider the most imminent and surest spiritual happenstance in human existence that you should give yourself to. It is the spiritual revelation of Jesus to His church.
Now, before our dear Jesus appears in the sky to rapture His people, He will reveal Himself spiritually in a special way to His church – 1 Cor. 1:7-9,
“so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by Whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord”
The Church in Corinth was supernaturally gifted above all the churches.
But, their spiritual giftedness was no substitute for having the spiritual revelation of Jesus. So, this spiritual revelation of Jesus is not about seeing visions, healings, having all faith to move mountains, discerning spirits, prophetic meetings etc.
Thus, by the spiritual revelation of Jesus, we do not mean you should see Jesus in a vision or trance or dream or even physically.
Rather it is through the ‘breaking’ of the Kingdom-word, where our blessed Lord reveals Himself to your spirit in a way that ‘only you’ can know.
Preparing us for Himself
Beloved, this spiritual revelation of Jesus to His people is to prepare or confirm them for the “end”, which begins with the rapture of the church.
Yes, the church of Jesus needs to receive His revelation so that ‘they will be like Him’, without spot, wrinkle or any such thing in His sight, not in man’s sight – Eph. 5:25-27,
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”
According to this passage, Jesus loved and died for us for a reason. The reason is to sanctify His believer’s with His Word. Yes, to our Lord Jesus, it is by the Word
that we will be without spot or wrinkle or blemish. That is what the Kingdomword is to accomplish in this end-time.
How to be like Jesus
Again, this spiritual revelation of Jesus is needed to bring God’s people to the unity of the faith, the acknowledgement, recognition and full discernment of Jesus, in order to be molded into His full stature – Eph. 4:12-13,
“for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge(i.e. full discernment or recognition) of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”. Emphasis mine.
My friend, only the spiritual revelation of Jesus can accomplish this. No other wisdom or anointing of any man of God can bring the saints into the full stature of Jesus. Rather, the more we see Jesus, the more we will be transformed by the Holy Spirit into His glory – 2 Cor. 3:18,
“But we all, with open face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord”
The Bible is clear on what to behold Jesus in. It is as in a mirror or glass. This speaks of the written Word of God who is Jesus – Jn. 1:1, 14.
Yes, we will become like Jesus only by messages and lifestyles that directly focuses on and reveals His Person. This is why God is raising up people to teach to unveil Jesus in this end time.
Teaching Jesus
Teaching Jesus is just as the Prophet Moses of old had in every city people who preached him – Acts 15:21,
“For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath”. Just imagine that! And up till today we still have people who are ‘preaching Moses’.
My friend, if Moses has had and still has this attention, how much more should people rise up in this end-time, not to preach themselves or their church denominations or Moses, but the Person of Jesus Christ.
Yes, when the Person of Jesus is unveiled by the Five-fold ministry gifts, the Body of Christ will be transformed by the Holy Spirit to look like Him.
Then, our church denominations will not be as strong as they are now, tothe point of dividing believers.
My friend, it is only a focus on the Person of Jesus, His all –embracing Kingdom message or Principles, and His Performance that will shatter the high dogmatic walls of denominationalism and get believers ready for the rapture.
Please, understand that in Heaven church denominations do not exist. So, how can you be preparing people for Heaven by being strong on your peculiar church denominational-biases; instead of on Jesus and the Kingdom message He brought?
Times of refreshing or revival
The spiritual revelation of Jesus is also the “Presence of the Lord” that will bring a great revival to God’s church – Acts 3:19-20, “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times (‘kairos’ in Greek) of refreshing may come from the Presence of the Lord”.
Yes, the spiritual revelation of Jesus is the “Presence of the Lord” in this quote. It will bring about such refreshment to God’s people from the staleness of religious traditions that, Jesus’ glory on them will exceed the glory of the Law of Moses.
It is because believers will turn from religion to behold the specially revealed Jesus – 2 Cor. 3:7-8, 17-18,
“But if the ministration of death, written and engraved on stones (i.e. the Law) was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? …
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all with open face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord”
Wow! There is a great and glorious ministry for believers on earth that will pale out the glorious ministry of the saints of old. It will be released by God as we turn away to behold the revealed Jesus.
And, there is a ‘kairos’ or a set and proper time, fixed by God’s own independent Self for this, which time is now. Hallelujah!
Times of restoration
Beloved, this spiritual revelation of Jesus is moreover the beginning of the “times of restoration” of all the things that has been spoken by prophets since the world began – Acts 3:20-21,
“…that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom Heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began”.
The Bible here says that Jesus will be released from Heaven for the “times (plural) of restoration”. This speaks about a time-range from the restoration of Jesus’ stature to the church up to the establishment of the new heaven and earth. This spans a little over a thousand literal years.
In other words, it is Jesus who will by His Presence or revelation bring to pass all that has to be restored to mankind, but
progressively within a time range. This is just as He progressively established the first Kingdom era, out of the chaos on earth, within a time-range of six creative-days – Gen. 1:2-2:1.
So, the spiritual revelation of Jesus is to trigger the Kingdom-future. This is why the church will first be restored to her real or full stature, which is Jesus’, through the ‘breaking’ of the Kingdom-word of God. Then other restorations will take place with time.
But, the spiritual revelation of Jesus to, in and through His church will trigger these “times of restoration”. So, pray for the revelation if you are a believer.
Resisting the revelation of Jesus
And understand that, because the prevailing spirit in this end-time is antiChrist, the devil will try to resist this endtime spiritual revelation of Jesus and His Kingdom system – see Gal. 4:29.
It will be just as the Prince of Persia (the then political superpower) delayed the revelation of the Kingdom-future that God had already released, from getting to the Kingdom-man Prophet Daniel – Dan. 10:12-14,
“Then He said to me, do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia (who stands for religion, the operational enemy of the Kingdom of God) withstood me twenty-one days;…Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come”. Emphasis mine.
Yes my friend, religion or man’s own way of trying to please God, which is a hybrid of good and evil, truth and falsehood, hot and cold, always stands in the way of what God intents. Watch out for it then.
The oil of enlightened spiritual eyes
So, you need to pray for the revealing of Jesus to His own church. This revelation should not be ‘delayed’ to you by the spirit of anti-Christ (the current ‘prince of Persia or Babylon’) that is already in the world – 1 Jn. 4:3b-4,
“And this is the spirit of the anti-Christ, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.( i.e. the anti-Christ spirit)” Emphasis mine.
3 components of the spiritual revelation of Jesus
So, be strong against this spirit. You know, in the Parable of the ten virgins, which is about the coming of Jesus, the revelation of the Bridegroom who is Jesus, was delayed to all the virgins – See Matt. 25:5.
This is why you should pray for the oil of enlightened spiritual eyes to see Jesus; just as the apostle Paul prayed for the church of Ephesus – Eph. 1:17-19a,
“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power….”
What to spiritually see about the Lord Jesus Christ is broadly speaking threefold namely: His Person, Principles and Performance.
Jesus’ calling is in His Person. This is because your person always reflects your calling. The glory of Jesus’ inheritance is in His Principles or teachings. This is because the glory of a monarch is in what the monarch stands for. And Jesus power is in His Performance or ability on earth, specifically on the Cross for us.
You know, you cannot separate Jesus from His teachings because His Person is the Word – See 2 Jn. 7-10; Rom. 16:17-18. And you cannot separate a person from his performance or ability either.
No, your person includes what you can do or your ability. The spiritual revelation of Jesus that we must have therefore has to do with His full Self i.e. His Person, Principles and Performance.
So in effect, the apostle Paul prays for the oil of innate spiritual enlightenment into the Person, Principles and Performance of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Yes, this is the spiritual revelation of Jesus. Hallelujah! May this be your prayer as well! Amen!
Jesus longs for His revelation
My friend, it is because of Jesus’ spiritual revelation to His people that He stands ready at the door of the Last-day church.
He is knocking to be allowed into His own church, to reveal Himself through the breaking of Bread or revelation – Rev. 3:20,
“Behold (i.e. see) I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hear My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and dine with him, and he with Me”. (Emphasis mine)
Please, note the individual nature of Jesus’ fellowship with the members of the Laodicean church or ‘the Last-day church’. He comes in to dine with the person who opens the door to Him, not with all those in the church.
Yes understand that, in the Parable of the ten virgins, not every one of the ten saw the Bridegroom who is Jesus Christ – Matt. 25: 1-13. Only the five wise ones with the oil of enlightenment saw Him. And so they went into the Wedding to dine with Him.
Similarly, not every believer currently has the oil of enlightenment to have this spiritual revelation of Jesus Christ. But, it is this revelation that will usher in the Kingdom-future or ‘Wedding’.
And the revelation has already been ‘delayed’. So, pray for it now – Rev. 22:17a, “And the Spirit and the Bride say come! And let him who hears say come!…”
Personal revelation of Jesus
Beloved, just as in the Parable of the ten virgins, this innate oil of enlightenment to make you see Jesus is something you must have in yourself as an individual. In other words, you ‘cannot’ share in another believer’s oil of enlightenment.
You ‘cannot’ share in your spiritual leader’s one or in that of your parents. They can teach Jesus but you ‘cannot’ share their revelation of Him just by that. You have to contact the ‘Seller’ of this oil who is God for yours – Matt. 25:8-9.
Yes my friend, you should have your own personal encounter with Jesus Christ, as His believer or virgin as you are taught. You know, after Jesus’ resurrection, He was hidden to two of His disciple who took a long walk with Him to Emmaus – Lk. 24:13-31.
So, walking with Jesus for long or being ‘born again’ for long does not mean you have this spiritual revelation of Him.
Talking to Jesus in your life as these two disciples did, does not mean you fully discern Him either. Beloved, Jesus was only revealed to the two disciples in the ‘breaking’ of Bread or the KingdomWord. You know, in the Bible bread is the revelation that feed us.
This is how our dear Jesus wants to reveal Himself to prepare His believers for the Kingdom-future (or as in the Parable of the ten virgin), for entry into the Wedding. It is through the ‘breaking’ and feasting on the Kingdom-word – See Lk. 24:27, 30-32.
The Kingdom-word
It is the ‘breaking out’ of the Kingdomword of Light that brought about the Kingdom of God in the first Kingdom era in Eden – Gen. 1:3.
Yes, this was when God commanded “let there be light” against the darkness of evil. This Kingdom-word commanded by God in the beginning was Jesus – 2 Cor. 4:6-7,
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the Knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us”.
The Kingdom-word is indeed the Treasure of the Lord, being Jesus and His Kingdom system. You know, every king treasures his kingdom because it ministers to his essence as king.
Teach the Treasure
Following the example of God in the beginning, it is by revealing Jesus the Kingdom-word against the darkness of evil in this end-time that God’s Kingdom-future will be brought about.
In other words, the more our Lord Jesus is revealed, the more the Kingdom of God will be expressed, becuase He carries it and manifests it.
Revealing the matured Kingdom sons
Beloved, the spiritual revelation of Jesus to His believers will also bring about the revelation of the sons of God that the world is waiting for – Rom. 8:19,
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” This is referring to mature sons of God i.e. those who are like Jesus Christ. Yes, God wants to reveal His Son Jesus Christ to you, in you and through you – Gal.1:15-16.
Beloved, Jesus must be revealed to us in order for Him to be revealed in us and through us to the people of this world.
You know, the world is in bondage to the god of this age, and longs to be free from his corruption, into our kind of liberty as believers – Rom. 8:20-22.
The progressive revealing of Jesus to His believers will bring about our progressive manifestation as sons of God because Jesus is our life – Col. 3:4-5, “When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire… ”etc.
Therefore, finally when Jesus fully reveals Himself in the sky during the rapture, then the Kingdom-future will be fully ushered in. So, preach and teach the Person, Principles, and Performance of Jesus to His believers now.
This is the best time for it, as we await the rapture of the church. Amen!
