DOMESTIC INDEPENDENCE

Unlike the religious thinking that Jesus was homeless, He had a home of His own.

I did not say He owned the home, because the Bible does not tell us that. It does tell us that Jesus lived on His own, not that He perched with a disciple.

He moved from Nazareth, where His parents had come to settle, after their stay in Egypt.
He went to stay on His own in Capernaum, a home by the sea – Mk. 2:1; Matt. 4:12, 13.

Beloved, at one time, two of John the Baptists’ disciples, asked to see His home. He took them there. And there was enough room for them to stay overnight, at short notice – Jn.1:37-39.

So, our dearest Jesus was not staying with His parents, to be drinking Mary’s soup, when He was of age.
May God give you a home, even when you are always on the move, because of your itinerant assignment!
In fact, may He give you a nice home by the sea or a water body!
Why? Oh, so that you can be able to ‘hide’ away sometimes and relax properly with nature!
Generally humans get more restful with nature, you know?

FEED NATIONS

The Bible indicates clearly that on more than one occasion, Jesus fed thousands of people at a time, and had basketful of leftovers, because the people were too full to eat them.

Beloved, our Lord Jesus showed that God’s limitless abundance was always available to Him, for His disciples – Jn. 6:10; Matt. 15:38.
Somebody who could feed thousands to their full like that, would always be a political threat, because the masses would hail him, as in Jn. 6:24-26.

People therefore followed and listened to Jesus Christ, because He could feed them when necessary.
From Jesus’ experience with mankind, human beings generally do not just follow signs and wonders, they follow their stomachs. Yes, most people would follow signs, as long as it would lead to their stomachs being full.

May God make you rich and or able to feed people when necessary! May you do greater works than feeding five thousands and four thousands of men, minus women and children!
May you feed a whole nation and still have leftovers! Amen!
