You know, it is possible to enter a new country and still maintain the old understanding and lifestyle of the one you just left. Thus, a believer can still hold on to his old mind-set and lifestyle about finances, even in God’s country; and thus misrepresent it.
For example, in this world, the controller of people and nations is money. But in this new spiritual nation into which you are, the master in charge of financial affairs should not be money, but God Himself.
Two financial masters
Every believer need to make this important switch, from having money at the centre of his life, to having God – Matt. 6:24,
“No one can serve two masters…you cannot serve God and mammon.”
Mammon refers to riches or money. Beloved, the effect of serving God, like the Tree of Life, will minister the life of God to you.
But the effect of serving money or riches, like the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, will minister death to you, in a deceptive subliminal way.
Beloved, we must not only get people saved for Heaven. We need to prepare them so that they have a Kingdom-mentality about living in abundance in Heaven and in the Kingdom-future.
Yes, all we do in this life is to prepare for Heaven and the Kingdom-future.
So we need to make ourselves fit into Heaven’s culture of abundance, by having that mentality or taste of it. This is so that you can enjoy it and not be limited by your current mind-set and way of life.
Beloved, Kingdom-finance is about Jesus’ take or perspectives on finances. It is an understanding on finances that glorifies the Person, Principles and Performance of our dearest Lord Jesus.
It is the financial system in the Kingdom of God that promotes it in a way that pleases God.
