So, the quote shows us that Jesus Christ is our example in roaring Kingdom-bringing words. Thus, it begins by telling us to “behold” or look at how Jesus would engage in Kingdom-declarations. It tells us that He would do it in a manner that nobody would hear it on the streets i.e. privately.
So, Jesus did not quarrel or exchanged words with others about His Kingdom-declarations. Neither did He cry out or shout at the top of His voice, in declaring justice or what is rightly due others. Hallelujah!
Beloved, our dear Lord had His own times of speaking the Kingdom-word privately in His many private moments during the nights – Lk. 21:37-38, “And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called olivet. Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.” Yes, Jesus had night-times with Himself alone, when He would among other things engage in declaring justice in a way that nobody would hear.
You know, He always practiced things before teaching them – see Acts 1:1. This is why He could teach us to do Kingdom declarations – Mk. 11:23, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
