In the beginning, God as Owner of the earth gave it to mankind to manage it on His behalf and in His interest. It is like somebody establishing His Company and appointing you as manager to control affairs in his or her favour.
But, through Adam, mankind listened to God’s rival Satan, and sinned by disobeying God in Eden. Now, because God created and appointed mankind, He took responsibility for man’s sin, by appearing in a human form as Jesus, to bear sin and its wages of slavery, death and Hell, on Calvary’s Cross.
For justice to be served, through Jesus’ resurrection or freedom from sin, God likewise freed all mankind from sin, and re-appointed humans to their original position spiritually. But, this gracious freedom and re-appointment has to be voluntarily and formally accepted. It is just as a corporate position offered is formally accepted, to make it valid. Now, you accept Gods offer by telling Him:
Dear God, I admit sin in my life. I also admit that Jesus died and resurrected to free me from sin and its wages. So, I confess and accept Jesus into my heart, as my Saviour and Lord, under whose leadership, I can rule as a king in life, to restore Your kingdom, back on earth. Thank you for accepting me as your royal child, forgiving my sins already, and saving me from its results. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
