Believers have a mandate to take charge of their world in God’s interest, for His Royalty, Rule and Realm to come. This is God’s original purpose for all mankind for which Jesus Christ came – 2 Tim. 1:9, “Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel”.
Wow! So, the coming of Jesus to give us eternal life through the gospel was to take us back to God’s original purpose and grace given to humans. This purpose and grace is to take charge of our world for God. This was planned for us (in Christ) before God actually started creating and verbalizing this purpose to us – Gen. 1: 26.
Let us proceed by asking: has God given up on the earth or mankind and so is allowing the devil to have a field day here? Is the devil’s real will on earth being fulfilled? Is God failing among mankind practically? Are believers in Jesus having positive impact on earth or not? Beloved, answering these questions from God’s perspective is important. It is because it would motivate you to give yourself to fully fulfilling your original purpose of being in charge here.
Understand that the devil is practically not succeeding and believers in Jesus are not failing. Rather, Satan’s will is being frustrated everywhere by believers. Hallelujah! Satan’s will have always been that there is total destruction on earth and that humans are totally annihilated by him, to get even at God.
His real desire is that there are no believers in Jesus anywhere on earth and that the church is no more. But, he has not succeeded in these agenda since he usurped the management of this earth from Adam, thousands of years ago. So, in his frustration, he tries to give people the impression that there is darkness of sin all around. This is partly why in the world’s system over which he presides, bad news travel faster and makes more rounds than good news.
So practically, believers are doing well in frustrating the desires of the devil, even just by their presence here. Beloved, God is using your presence alone to frustrate Satan on earth. How much more when you practically and consciously fully embrace your original management mandate on earth? Our Lord Jesus said we are the salt of the earth – Matt. 5: 13. That means we are preserving it from spiritual and physical destruction by the god of this age, who is Satan – 2 Cor. 4:4. Then, our Lord said we are the light of the world, not of the church – Matt. 5:14. So, our presence and mandate here is a threat to the darkness of sin and Satan.
As light, we can hold back the darkness of evil even more when we practically wake up to our original management mandate and rule our own worlds for God. Hallelujah! Yes, in Christ Jesus, believers are God’s solution to the spirit of decay, chaos, destruction, darkness and rebellion on earth. The Church’s presence is the joy of the whole earth because we have Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in us – 2 Thess. 2:5-7. Understand that our dear Jesus did not tell us to ‘have’ first the Kingdom of God, but to seek it first. That is how it all starts.
This means to make an initial effort at realizing it practically, since only then will we have it – Lk. 12:31-32. That is why you are reading this material. God is asking you to make both spiritual and physical practical efforts to get His Royalty, Rule and Realm to come wherever you are. This is fulfilling God’s original purpose and grace for you in Christ, for which you have eternal life.
Of course, it is not everything that you can change for the better. But, longing for the Kingdom to come and making an effort at it is all that God requires, for Him to do His part, by giving you the Kingdom. Beloved, we are the managers in charge on earth. We do not just have a mandate of managing our world, but we have grace for it. So, we matter in getting God’s Kingdom to come on here, as in Heaven.
Yes, God’s Kingdom coming through believers is the hope of Jesus’ calling as a ruler or Lord – Eph. 1: 18. Therefore, the devil’s gloomy picture of the bad state of our world will no more wash and demoralize God’s people, by keeping them from their original management mandate, that God prepared earlier on, before He re-created them in Christ to fulfill – Eph. 2:10, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them ”. Halleluiah!
